It doesn't get any closer than that. Babe Ruth of Flin Flon takes home the NL MVP hardware. He was left off more ballots than send place finisher Ted Williams (Lakeview) but secured more first place votes than the Splendid Splinter to narrowly win.
Ruth was a powerhouse, batting .278 / .422 / .653 with a 1.076 OPS, 46 2B, 54 HR, 134 R, and 129 RBI. Overall, he led the NL in ATB Value, ATB Value+, SLG, OPS, RC, RC/27, HR, EBH, TB, R, and RBI. Not a bad year!

Yay! I didn't get around to voting this year, and it almost cost me! No playoffs this year, but an MVP is a good consolation prize.
