No surprises here as Pedro Martinez of Sparta likely put together the best season of all time for a starting pitcher. Martinez's final line was a beauty:
21-6, 1.21 ERA, 0.77 WHIP, 258 IP, 153 H, 276 K, 1.58 RCERA.
He basically led every stat category that holds much meaning:
- ERA
- W
- CG
- ShO
- K
- K/9
- K/BB
- WHIP
- Opp OPS
- RCERA
- CERA
- RSAA
Most of these were by very large margins.
Absolutely amazing, especially when you consider he was facing some of the all-time great hitters.
