Mize the First to Hit 3 HR in a Game

On May 9, Johnny Mize of the Bellevue Freakin Franchise, was the first man to smack 3 HR in a game this season. It was an all around impressive game for "The Big Cat":

• In the first, he hit a 2 run single to give his team the lead
• In the third, he hit is first home run - a solo shot to deep left that knocked starting pitcher Jack Taylor out of the game.
• In the fifth, an inning after Willets Point closed the lead to two, Mize pulled a 2-run homer down the right field line
• Finally, after his team blew the lead, the large first basemen hit a 3-run walk off home run off of famed reliever Dennis Eckersley.
