All Time Greatest Team Competition Update

The ATB All Time Greatest Team competition is approaching 100,000 games played and the champion is remains utterly and completely in doubt. In fact, the general feeling is that after 40 seasons in the books, the next 10 likely will not add any clarity to the affair.

As of today, the Manetheren Red Eagles lead with 3528 wins and 85 'bonus wins' for their playoff prowess. Right behind them are the Lusitania Death Speakers with 3527 wins and 85 'bonus wins'. The 1-win difference is completely meaningless after this many games played.

Confusing things ever further are the Pangea Tyrannosaurus Rex ATB X team. This team is 108 'real wins' out of third but are quite simply an awesome playoff team. They have been to more World Series than any other team and have an outstanding 11-4 record in them. Their 11 titles are more than any other two teams combined. In some circles, this constitutes a champion more than regular season wins.

Further complicating the discussion is the basic idea that no two ATB leagues are alike. We've ranged from 14 to 24 teams per a league, changed the player pools, and have had computer managers in some leagues and not others. How can you compare teams in such drastically different 'era's' in good faith. I am going to think on this, but for now, it is interesting to see which ATB league is fairing the best.

Interestingly enough, no matter how you slice it the top two teams in our competition do appear to have a competitive edge due to their original league structure.
