Slam Dumps 5, Kakadu 3
In a hard fought game, the Slam Dumps narrowly outplayed Kakadu and head the World Series on a 5-3 victory. First Basemen Johnny Mize singled home runners in the 2nd and 8th innings, and Frank Robinson added a double and a home run to the Newark cause.
Teddy Higuera pitched well for the win, lasting 6 innings giving up 4 hits and a run. Huston Street struggled out of the pen, but Rob Murphy and Rafael Soriano nailed down the final 5-outs for the win.
Series MVP is Rafael Soriano. This was a difficult call, but the closer shut down the Didgeridoos on three different occasions, recording the save in each.
