Unanimously, and without any doubts from any of his competitors, Oscar Charleston wins the NL MVP Award. In second place is a tie for Mickey Mantle and Ted Williams who can keep the pace with Oscar in terms of rate stats (they all had between 8.2 and 8.4 RC/27) but Oscar played more and is a plus defender.
Two side notes:
- It was nice to see George Brett get some praise. He may truly be the Most Valuable as the Zero's have no chance at the post-season without him.
- Frank Robinson is interesting, with lone 2nd and 3rd place votes. He led the league in RBI, impressive, but that .298 OBP sticks out as a primary negative.
