- For the third time this tournament, the Manetheren Red Eagles scored 13 runs, this time in a 13-3 blowout of Spanish Harlem. The Red Eagles blasted 5 home runs, two from Larry Doyle, and Tip O'Neill extended his hitting streak to 12 games. The 'old' version of O'Neill is sorely missed, and he's yet to go hitless in the tournament.
Branch Rickey
- A four run fourth proved to be the difference maker in a 5-3 John McDonald victory over Lusitania. The power laden Fanclub lineup played small ball, hitting 5 singles and recording a hit-by-pitch to break open the scoreless game. Mike Mussina completed 8 innings of effective ball to earn the win.
