Babe Ruth wins the Batter of the Week Award thanks to a 7 HR, 20 RBI outburst on behalf of the DC Chips. In 62 plate appearances Ruth batted .378 / .532 / .889 with a 1.421 OPS and 22.6 Runs Created. He also won the ward in Week 5.
The best pitcher of Week 7 was, incredibly, Mordecai Brown. Brown made and won 3 starts, pitching 20 innings and giving up just 12 hits. His RCERA was 1.51 and WHIP 0.95.
Brown is also having his best season of his ATB career for the "Mechanics". While his record is merely 5-5 and his ERA 4.01, under the surface he has been a Top-20 caliber starter. His line: 92 IP, 86 H, 30 BB, 3.44 RCERA, 1.26 WHIP. Two of his last three starts have been complete game wins, of which he coughed up 4 and 2 hits total respectively.
