DC Chips 4, Sonoran Black Diamonds 0
It took just two innings and in the blink of an eye all the important events had occurred in the 4th and 5th innings. In the 4th the Roberto Clemente and Duke Snider had RBI hits and in the 5th Jackie Robinson slammed a 2-run homer. Coupled with another great start from Garland Braxton and the Black Diamonds are in a serious hole, down 2-0.

G1: Dumai's Wells Oathbinders 3, San Diego Puff 2
The Puff pressed the Oathbinder staff for much of the night, but couldn't string a bunch of hits together and lose the opener 4-3. The big blow came in the 4th when starter Tim Lincecum lost control for a few batters, giving up three walks and 2 singles that led to two Oathbinder runs.

G2: Dumai's Wells Oathbinders 7, San Diego Puff 6 (10 inn)
The Oathbinders open up a sizable 2-0 series lead in a back and forth game that couldn't be decided without extra innings. The Puff tied the game in the Top of the 9th on a Denny Lyons home run, only to have Dennis Eckersley blow the save in the 10th when Ken Griffey Jr blasted a shot to right.

Notes
- The Top 3 in the Puff order each had three hits
- Derrek Lee (SDP) also homered in the loss
- After terrible starts, both pens excelled giving a combined 4 runs in 16+ innings
- Ducky Medwick (DWO) filling in for the injured Stan Musial, went 2-4 with 2 RBI.
