Sonoran Black Diamonds 5, Dumai's Wells 4
Contrary to original plans the Black Diamonds moved Lady Baldwin up a spot and it almost cost them. While maintaining a great strikeout rate, Baldwin gave up 4 runs and 11 hits in 7.1 innings of work, leaving the game down 4-3. However, the Sonoran offense won the game with 2 runs each in the 8th and 9th innings, giving both Mariano Rivera and Billy Wagner blown saves on the night.

In the top 8th Barry Bonds launched a 2-run homer to tied the game at 3. In the bottom have of the inning Reggie Smith answered for Dumai's Wells giving them another lead. It unraveled for them in the ninth however. After giving up the Bonds homer, Wagner started the ninth a single then two walks to load the bases. Rivera came in and retired two batters on scarifies flies before ending the inning with a strikeout.

Cla Meredith closed the game with 3 lazy flies on 7 pitches.
