Whoops

Came across this fun fact while analyzing the June Player of the Month data.

On June 6, John Wetteland was jettisoned by the Duke Street Kings after compiling a 6.10 ERA in 21 innings. It was a questionable decision at the time, but not crazy. Wetteland was inconsistent all year long and was responsible for 5 losses in 16 games. On the other hand, he was lights out in his last three appearances and if you take away a horrible outing on May 29, he turned in a 2.20 ERA from May 2 trhough his release.

After his release, the division rival Willets Point "Mechanics" took a flyer on him and it paid off. In June, his stats:

17.1 IP, 11 H, 5 BB, 20 K, 1.56 ERA, 0.92 WHIP

Whoops.

  1. Can someone investigate what is making Kevin Brown so atrocious this year?

I know Camden Yard is a hitters part but but its nothing like Rangers Stadium/Coors Field,etc...Kevin Browns should be an Ace
