LCS Game 4: Mays rescue's Ojeda short rest bid with 2 HR; DC wins 6-2

Chips 6, Gossamers 2
Electing to go with a 3-man rotation for the remainder of the series almost backfired on the DC Chips. Starting on short rest, Bobby Ojeda threw nearly 60 pitches in 2 1/3 innings and was yanked from the game before any real damage was done. The Chips elite bullpen nailed down the rest of the game giving up just one more run .

Willie Mays was the star of the game, belting home runs in the 3rd and 8th innings, and driving in 3. It was homerfest for the Chips as Chipper Jones and Hank Greenberg did additional damage with longball too.

The stars of the regular season now find themselves down 3 games to 1, on the verge of exiting the playoffs earlier than expected. Still, it is not difficult to envision a game 7 at this point in time. Pedro Martinez, the best pitcher in ATB history and due for a great game, takes the mound in game 5. The Game 6 matchup is favorable to the Gossamers as well - Scott Stratton (18-8, 2.93) vs Bobby Shantz on short rest. That leaves us with a game 7 between non-star pitchers (Cliff Lee vs Ojeda?) where anything can happen. Buckle up, the ride has just begun!
