The Two Best Picks of the Year

The new ATB Value and RSAA reports make it so very easy for owners to compare results versus where a player was selected in the draft, but from time to time I still feel the need to point out the key steals in the draft.

Rd 17- George Stone (IA)
The Artificers are a .500 ball cub, but they would be well out of the Wild Card race if not for their outfielder George Stone.  Drafted behind Stan Musial, Joe Morgan, John Olderud, and Al Simmons among many others, Stone is Imre's best hitter with a slash line of .338 / .383 / .494.  He has also swiped 13 of 18 bases and leads his team in triples.

Rd 16 - Camilo Pascual (PRL)
There several pitchers in the conversation (Kevin Appier, David Cone, Joe Horlen) but Pascual, at least for now, is the best of them.  His 5-4 record is indicative of his team's struggles so look the stats within his control to gauge his talents:  114 IP, 95 H, 2.45 ERA, 2.45 RCERA, and a 1.11 WHIP, all in a hitters park.  He's outperforming Walter Johnson, Bill Bernhard, Addie Joss, Nip Winters and so manh others.
