ATB Value - Week 1

As you may recall we unveiled a new ATB Value methodology in the off-season.  The metric is not very meaningful early in the season, but I figured I would publish it anyway.

As a quick reminder, the purpose of the stat is to quantify a batters total value into one number - uses wOBA, park factors, defense, an base running and then is adjusted for positional scarcity.

After week 1, here is how the average wOBA for each position is shaping up.

.342 - 1B
.330 - 2B
.323 - DH
.313 - RF
.306 - C
.305 - LF
.303 - CF
.301 - 3B
.283 - SS
