Less than a week on post, Gambz continues to shake things up in Indiana. 4th Round Draft Choice Frank Robinson (.271 / .283 / .424, 5 R, 9 RBI) is being sent to Uncle Robbie's for Pete Rose. Rose was a 23rd round selection and is batting .267 / .313. / .267 in pinch hit duties.
A centralized Diamond Mind Baseball league, using every full time player from 1871 'till today.
I bet Rose will do well for me.

ReplyDeleteNew trade veto process will be in effect tomorrow moring, retroactive to this trade. Another one will need to be reviewed as well, Walter Johnson for Roy Halladay and Manny Ramirez.
I don't want to unilaterally veto them, that seems unfair. A league veto is the lesser of two evils.
Gambz - you got fifty cents on the dollar for Robinson. No one is asking or even hinting you should leave because of it.

ReplyDeleteI just graduated from fifty cents on the dollar to "leagues have been permanently ruined for less..." [BTW, how was that a constructive comment?] Cancel all my proposals. I guess I'll finish the season with 12 position players.
I think it all depends on your team design and I think it is great when someone pulls in a guy he really likes....Rose may be the perfect fit for Gambz.I wouldn't trade Robby for Rose because I can't stand Rose, but, then again, I am betting most folks think my pick of Van Slyke or Luque was a bad move as well ( I am beginning to agree..lol)....wait until I draft Boo Ferris, one of may all time favorite players (I was lucky enough to meet him...great man)

ReplyDeleteGambz - leagues weren't ruined because of the poorness of a trade, they were ruined because passionate owners argue over the poorness of trades. I did not mean to imply your trade was the worst ever by any means.
