Daffiness Boys and Black Sox Swap Collins, Lajoie

Uncle Robbie's Daffiness Boys agreed to trade Nap Lajoie and Jim Edmonds to the Indiana Black Sox for Eddie Collins and Derek Lowe.

To the Black Sox
Lajoie, a 1st Round draft choice, is having an All-Star season batting .326 / .364 / .428 with 25 doubles and Vg defense at second base.  Edmonds, a 6th rounder, is performing slightly under expectations batting .238 / .331 / .409 with 12 HR and 42 RBI

To the Daffiness Boys
Collins, a second round pick, isn't quite as good with the bat as Lajoie, but is one of the best defenders in the game, at any position.  He's batting .278 / .341 / .324 with Ex/61 defense.

The wild card is Lowe.  In order for the the trade to be an equal success for both sides, the right hander has to prove his great 1st half is not an aberration.  On the season he has won 9 against 5 losses and holds down a 2.80 ERA in 109 IP.
