Trade Frenzy Continues - Frank Robinson Shipped to Gold Country

Uncle Robbie's Daffiness Boys are at in again, this time trading the recently acquired Frank Robinson to Gold Country for center fielder Pete Reiser and reliever Tim Burke.

Robinson, a 4th round pick, has struggled all year batting .225 / .286 / .426 with 11 home runs in 249 at bats.  Reiser has struggled as well, batting .231 / .259 / .294, wearing out his welcome in Gold Country as their 7th round pick.  He is a superb defend though.  Of all three players, Burke is enjoying the finest season.  As an 11th round pick, he's tossed 78 innings of relief, giving up just 47 hits and 20 walks, good enough for a 1.85 ERA.

  1. Lou, what exactly is a "fenzy"? Is that like in "My Cousin Vinny" where the judge said, "Did you say 'youts'?" to Vinny?

  3. Yeah, yeah. Were you absent that day in fourth grade when you were supposed to learn the spelling of "frenzy"?
