The Splendid Splinter

Brian B selected Ted Williams as his first round draft choice, 12th overall for the Fishbiscuits, and the owner must be thrilled with the decision.  The Splendid Splinter is off to a blistering start, leading all of ATB in Batting Average, On Base Percentage, Slugging Percentage, OPS, and RC/27.  No matter what statistic you follow - Williams is the best player in the game right now.

He's batting .414 / 512 / .727 with 9 HR, 20 R, and 21 RBI.  With the Biscuits struggling to catch .500, they would be in a world of pain without Williams at the heart of the order.

On the season, Williams has compiled 14 multi-hit games and only three times has ended the day hitless.  Here is his hit chart, I guess he likes to pull the ball:

These are combined home/away stats, but remember, Ted plays his home games in Busch Stadium:  125/115 - 100/114 - 125/110 - 78/78 - odds are, he'll continue to rake.
