Worst Start Ever?

Brad emailed earlier wondering if I saw the atrocious line his Willie Stargell has put up: 0-16, 1 BB, 9 K, 1 GDP.

I had, but he has some company this year:

Scott Rolen (Islanders): 0-19, 3 BB, 5K
Joe Gordon (Hellcats): 0-13, 3 K
Pete Rose (Lookouts): 1-23, 1 BB, 3 K

Oh fer 19 is worse thn an oh fer 16, but the 9 K's is incredible.  Stargell gets my vote for worst start!

    It looks like Hudson's Al Orth is giving Brooklyn's Bob Gibson a run for his money for worst SP start. Both are 0-2 with ERAs over 18.00!
