Vern Law - the Next Top 10 Pitcher?

1960 World Series - Game 7: NY Yankees v Pittsburgh Pirates
Vern Law of 1959, well, of any year really, went un-drafted 13 consecutive seasons until ATB 13.  That year, the infamous Justin B (who changed ATB forever by paying attention to defense) picked up the right-hander as a Free Agent and it was a disaster - 6.82 ERA in limited duties.

That was enough for owners to stay away in ATB 15, but Sean S's Sparta Hoplites took a mid-round gamble the following season selecting him in the 16th round.  It paid off.  In decisive hitters park Law had 13 Wins with a 3.91 ERA and 1.23 WHIP.

Sean was on to something and Justin P knew it, selecting Law in the 12th round the following season.  He continued to impress, this time with a 12 Wins, a 3.52 ERA, and a tidy 1.13 WHIP

Unfortunately ATB 18 is lost to me, but at the All Star Break I saw a blog post where he had 5 wins and a 2.95 ERA.  That season Mike S drafted him 12th, I hope it ended well for him.

Which brings us to Jason B's Otterville Valley success in ATB 19.  Law is on fire:  11-0, 1.36 ERA, 99 IP, 89 H, 21 BB, 1.11 WHIP, 2.23 RCERA.  He leads ATB in both complete games and shutouts.

Drafted in the 14th, the former Pirate is the steal of the draft so far.
