Another ATB team avoids a sweep.  The Gold Country Gossamers, powered by Tris Speaker’s 3 RBI and a fine start from Fergie Jenkins, won going away 10-3.  They banged out 16 hits in all, chasing Barnstormer starter Johnny Podres from the game after coughing up 6 runs in 5 2/3 innings of work.

All the damage came between the 4th and 7th innings where Podres tired and Dave Robertson was ineffective in relief.
