3-Way Tie Atop "Behind the Bag"

At close of play at the end of April, three of the four divisional races were closely contested with 8 of the 12 teams in both "Behind the Bag" and "It Gets Through Buckner" within 2 games of first place.

Behind the Bag has been especially close with five of the six teams all within a game and a half of each other.

In Sim 2B, the Rochester Beau Brummels went 4-1 outscoring their opponents 27-12. Before the mini sim, Rochester had been struggling with a below .500 record and a -24 run differential. It's too early to tell if the team is for real or happened to play very well in a small 5 game stretch.

After a 1-3 showing, Warning Track Power lost its divisional lead while Rusty Kuntz Traveling All Stars and John McDonald Fanclub each played within a game of .500. The result is a three way tie and two other teams directly in the mix.

By pure run differential methods, Fanclub and the All Stars appears to be the best teams with an RD of +23, while the Power, the Beau Brummels, and the DC Chips each have compiled negative RD's.

The Head to Head records of the five teams only serves to muddy the water further:

11-10: Power vs Rest
11-10: All Stars vs Rest

10-10: Beau Brummels vs Rest
10-11: Fanclub vs Rest

10-11: Chips vs Rest

One thing is for certain, the last team in he division, the Otherton Fish Biscuits, had better start playing better.

  1. The OFB is trying, we are 4-3 in the last 7 and have lost 5 games where the pitching staff gave up 2 or less runs. If OFB gets some hitting then look out
