Collusion! Among the Players?

Breaking News!

In one of the largest scandals in ATB history, Pete Reiser has been found to be colluding with himself against Helena Handbasket and La Chapelle-aux-Saints Neanderthals.

How? By playing for both teams. Reiser, unbelievably, has held the starting center field job for Handbasket batting .267 / .313 / .300 in 90 at bats. For the Neanderthals, in his spare time apparently, Reiser is a back up outfielder batting .250 / .286 / .250 in 25 at bats.

Perhaps most incredible is the fact the issue only surfaced after Justin P, owner of the Neanderthals read an inter-league memo from Joe T, owner of Handbasket, putting Earl Averill on the trading block hoping to find someone to platoon with Reiser himself.

Reiser, exhausted from double duty, declined to comment on his actions.

(In reality, Reiser was drafted twice. Both Justin and I missed the fact that he came off the board in the 8th round, and Justin went ahead and drafted him in the 27th. The Neanderthals will drop Reiser and pick up another player that will not count against the limit of 10 Free Agents)
