Sonoran Black Diamonds 4, Helena Handbasket 3

In one of the best games of these playoffs, the Black Diamonds narrowly force a game 7. Helena tied it up in the top of the 9th on an Ivan Rodriguez homer, only to have part time closer Denys Reyes implode in the bottom half of the inning. He gave up back to back singles to Jim Thome and pinch hitter Dave Orr, then proceeded to walk pinch hitter Orator Shaffer on 4 straight pitches.

Joe Nathan followed and gave a good effort, getting Fred Dunlap to slap a ground ball to second and get the bases loaded, no out, force out at home. But in the end, Barry Bonds ripped a single to center to win it.
