Resim Power Alley - #9, Bostons Terrier

#9 – Bostons Terrier
Owner: Jeff B

We’ve crossed the halfway point and into the Top 10 re-sim teams. Boston’s Terrier, despite having fewer wins, fewer winning seasons, and a slightly worse RD than the 10th ranked Gargle Blasters comes in ranked one slight higher. Why? Playoff prowess. Terrier made the playoffs almost twice as much and even won two division titles along the way (Sim 2 and 4).

They key to their success was offense. Eight players reached an .800 OPS, more than any other team we’ve seen to date. Their team average OPS was 5th overall and their overall runs scored ranked 8th.

As we’ve seen with several other teams as well, starting pitching was the downfall for Terrier. Their best starter was their #5 man, Eppa Rixey picked up off the free agent market during the year. Their 2-4 starters had ERA’s of 5.13, 5.87, and 4.96.
