Resim Power Alley - #14, Rochester Beau Brummels

#14 – Rochester Beau Brummels
Owner: Leanne S
Just as we found a natural divide between the 17th and 18th ranked teams, another divide is present between the 15th rank Cleveland Steamers and the 14th Ranked Beau Brummels. The Beau Brummels are our first team to A) have a single winning season, let alone their 3, B) have a max win potential over 90, and C) make the playoffs at least once.

In season 9, most things came together Rochester and they won 83 games to make the playoffs as the last Wild Card entrant. For the first time we’ve seen too, they reached a positive run differential, in season 8

Things could have been much better for the squad too – they never completed their lasts 4 picks in the draft and never submitted a lineup.

800 OPS Batters
Rd10 – Babe Herman: .302 / .363 / .447, 18 HR, 109 RBI
Rd2 – John McGraw: .317 / .464 / .336, 114 R, 97 SB

Sub 4.00 ERA Starters
Rd1 – Walter Johnson: 15-13, 3.68 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 243 IP, 57 BB, 180 K
Addie Joss came close with a 4.04ERA in an average of 227 IP

Sub 3.25 ERA Relievers
Rd11 – BJ Ryan: 72 IP, 2.76 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 3 8 BB, 78 K

Bust Draft Pick
Rd5 – Luke Appling: .269 / .334 / .291, 694 PA

Value Draft Pick
No standouts, but many worse players were picked long before BJ Ryan and Babe Herman
