Resim Power Alley - #15, Cleveland Steamers

#15 – Cleveland Steamers
Owner: Kevin C

The Steamers ended up a team with no great superstars, but with few gaping holes either. Their rotation averaged a 4.60 ERA, by no means good, but not in the bottom third of the league either. Their lineup averaged a .722 OPS which again, was not good, but not awful.

The one glaring hole perhaps was their bench which averaged a .630 OPS and didn’t consist of many great defenders.

It should be noted that Hack Wilson hit 35 HR and drove in 99, though his batting average and on base percentage were a severe detriment to his overall productivity.

800 OPS Batters
Rd2 – Hugh Duffy: .322 / .359 / .452, 43 SB, 107 R

Sub 4.00 ERA Starters
None, but Johan Santana came close with a 4.10 ERA in 35 starts

Sub 3.25 ERA Relievers
None, but Tom Gordon had a 3.27 ERA in 37 IP

Bust Draft Pick
Rd7 – Guy Hecker: 6-9, 5.12 ERA, 1.60 WHIP as third starter

Value Draft Pick
Rd20 – Tom Gordon: 3.27 ERA, 37 IP, 16 BB, 30 K
