In a great pitchers duel, the Shadows capture game 1 in dramatic fashion, with Alex Rodriguez homering in the bottom of the 11th for the win. Both starting pitchers weren't at their best but each lasted into the 8th inning giving their team's a chance to win. Rafael Soriano picked up the win with 3 1/3 scoreless innings in relief.
