Lloyd's two home runs, 6 RBI lead Brawlers in 8-6 win

Game 3 (1 vs 5)

Lancaster Red Roses @ Borischtown Brawlers

Scoring runs in bunches, the Borischtown Brawlers took the all important game 3, taking the series lead against the Lancaster Red Roses.  The home Brawlers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead with two first inning bombs from Tris Speaker and Pop Lloyd.  Two innings later, Lloyd struck again, this time with a clutch 2-out 3-run home run, knocking Red Roses starter Bill Bernhard from the contest and securing a 6-1 lead.

The Red Roses cut the lead to 4 in the top of the 5th, but the Brawlers added two more in the bottom half of the inning, including another RBI from Lloy who had 6 on the night.

In the 7th Lancaster knocked starter Mike Scott from the game, scoring two and a couple of hits and a couple of walks.  They struck for two more in the 8th on four consecutive hits, a lead off double by Chase Utley followed by three consecutive singles from John McGraw, Bill Monroe, and Oscar Charleston.  The reliever Doug Corbett settled down and ultimately retired three in a row to end the treat.  Against closer grant Balfour, Lancaster managed a walk, but nothing more, ending the game 8-6.
