Lopez 2-run walk off homer leaves Brawler one win away from advancing

Game 4 (1 vs 5)
Lancaster Red Roses @ Borischtown Brawlers

Throughout the tournament, few games have been better than this one.  It was a pitchers duel, only decided upon the 9th inning thanks to 1-out walk off home run from Javy Lopez.

The Red Roses jumped out to an early 2-0 lead thanks to solo shots from Bill Monroe in the first and Luis Santop in the second.  Lancaster wouldn't score again and managed only 3 more hits off starter Henry Boyle and reliever Mickey Haefner.

Trailing 2-0 heading into the 9th, the Brawlers had to face start closer Bruce Sutter.  The first batter Matt Williams struck out weakly on four pitches, but Dan Brouthers followed with a line drive single to right.  Javy Lopez calmly strode to the plate, waited out Sutter for a 3-1 count, and drilled the game winning home run over the left field wall.

The Brawlers lead the series 3-1 and look to close it out tomorrow night with Ron Guidry.  Louisiana Lighting will face ace starter Johan Santana.
